Rocksalt’s menus are inspired by the wealth of fresh ingredients that Kent & the South East has to offer.

The heart and soul of Rocksalt are our menus, served inside the stunning restaurant space & outside on our sun drenched terrace. We take time and effort to source our ingredients as locally as possible: from the day boats working along the South Coast to the local farms set in the rolling Kent countryside, our focus is always on provenance.

Something for everyone

Our A La Carte menu changes seasonally, showcasing everything from the freshest fish to the best quality meat, as well as locally sourced smoked or cured fish. On Sundays it’s all about the traditional roast, with a selection of locally reared meats and a roast fish of the day. Family is something that is very important to us and we welcome children of all ages, offering under 10’s their very own menu. We can cater for most dietary needs so please let us know in advance if you have any special requirements.

A Special Set Menu in celebration of love

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an unforgettable dining experience at Rocksalt, set against the backdrop of Folkestone Harbour and the open sea.

On Saturday 14th February, enjoy our dedicated Valentine’s set menu, available as either a two or three course experience. Thoughtfully curated for the occasion, the menu is designed to be shared and savoured, creating the perfect setting for a romantic evening by the coast.

Looking to make your experience extra special? Then why not book a room and extend your visit with an overnight stay in one of our four boutique bolthole rooms.

  • Please note—Valentine’s Night offers an exclusive Valentine’s Menu and our standard A La Carte menu will not be available on the night of 14th February.
  • T&Cs—A £30 per person deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be payable on the day of your visit. Please note that deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made within 7 days of Valentine’s Day.

Celebrate Valentine’s with an Exclusive Wine Dinner at Rocksalt

Looking for a truly memorable way to mark Valentine’s this February? Join us at Rocksalt Wine Bar for an intimate evening celebrating one of Kent’s most exciting vineyards in collaboration with Heppington Vineyard.

Enjoy a seasonal five-course tasting menu, carefully curated by our Group Executive Chef, Marcin Szelag with each course thoughtfully paired with 100ml tasting wines to complement each dish, showcasing the character and craftsmanship of Heppington’s wines.

Hosted by Henry Blaxland, vineyard owner of Heppington, the evening offers a unique opportunity to hear first-hand about the vineyard, the wines, and the stories behind each pour, all set within the relaxed elegance of Rocksalt Wine Bar.

A must for wine lovers and those looking for a truly special dining experience.

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon with Great Britain's most successful olympian

Sir Jason Kenny CBE is one of the most decorated cyclists in sporting history. Across an extraordinary career, he won seven Olympic gold medals and two silver medals, alongside multiple World and European Championship titles, cementing his place as a true legend of British sport.

Renowned for his calm focus, relentless work ethic and dominance on the track, Sir Jason was a central figure in Team GB’s golden era of cycling and continues to inspire athletes around the world.

Guests joining us for lunch at Rocksalt will enjoy a rare opportunity to hear first-hand stories from an exceptional career at the very highest level.

Visit The Restaurant

We keep a number of tables available for walk-ins, alternatively use the form below to book a restaurant table online. To book over the phone, or for parties greater than 6, call 01303 212070 (select option 8 to speak to a member of the team); we accept parties of up to 10 people on weekdays and up to 8 on weekends.

Rocksalt will be open 7 days a week for the February half term Mon 16th Feb–Sun 22nd Feb 2026.

We cater for all dietary requirements, please let us know when you book. Note—dogs are not permitted inside the main restaurant.
