A Wealth of Choice

Seasonal menus showcasing the best in local produce

Rocksalt's menus are inspired by the wealth of fresh ingredients that Kent & the South East has to offer.

Food with a view

The heart and soul of Rocksalt are our menus, served inside the stunning restaurant space & outside on our sun drenched terrace. We take time and effort to source our ingredients as locally as possible: from the day boats working along the South Coast to the local farms set in the rolling Kent countryside, our focus is always on provenance.

Something for everyone

Our A La Carte menu changes seasonally, showcasing everything from the freshest fish to the best quality meat, as well as locally sourced smoked or cured fish. On Sundays it's all about the traditional roast, with a selection of locally reared meats and a roast fish of the day. Family is something that is very important to us and we welcome children of all ages, offering under 10's their very own menu. We can cater for most dietary needs so please let us know in advance if you have any special requirements.

An exquisite pairing

Rocksalt boasts an eclectic wine list, jam packed with wines that sit harmoniously alongside the dishes leaving the kitchen, perfectly blending our love of old world classics with forward thinking New World producers.

Ghost Feed by John Gerrard Located Behind Rocksalt Garden
Presented as part of Folkestone Triennial 2025: 'How Lies the Land?'

This must-see installation is part of Creative Folkestone’s sixth edition of the Folkestone Triennial, running from 19 July to 19 October 2025, which brings world-class art into the streets, gardens and coastal edges of Folkestone.

Step into a hauntingly beautiful digital world with Ghost Feed, a powerful new artwork by internationally acclaimed artist John Gerrard, created exclusively for Folkestone Triennial 2025.

At first glance, you’ll encounter a white-cheeked spider monkey — motionless, hunched over a smartphone — surrounded by a smouldering, simulated rainforest. This hyperreal scene unfolds slowly over time, transitioning from day to night in real time on a large LED screen powered entirely by the Unreal game engine.

The Good Food Guide

The Good Food Guide was founded by Raymond Postgate in 1951 and today it remains the longest-standing and best selling guide to dining out in Great Britain. The Good Food Guide receives reports from members of the public throughout the year, and it's your list of recommendations that creates the long-list for possible inclusion.

We'd be delighted for diners at Rocksalt to take a few minutes to review us and share their dining experience with the Good Food Guide. It's free to do so and only takes a couple of minutes.
